Here is the important information..

We are looking for all types of voices for our chorus. Rehearsals are on Tuesdays. We will begin starting on Tuesday Sepember 9th at 7:30pm. Rehearsals are at the Emanuel United Church of Christ located at 10627 W. Forest Home Avenue in Hales Corners. If you would like to join or check out our rehearsals please come 15-20 mins early on the 9th. If you are unable to attend but are still interested please email the chorus at...

Thank you to all for attending our concerts for the 2008 Spring Season!

We have received so many wonderful notes and kind words that the music for this season

was the best they have heard from the chorus. Our director Jerry works hard every season to diversify

the music and make the arrangements to work with the chorus's sound. We are soo very lucky to have him

as our director and fearless leader!

Please check back to our website for our new season will be starting and we are looking for people who

love to sing, who enjoy learning great music and meet wonderful people.

National Anthem

Great News!

This Sunday the community chorus will be singing the National Anthem at

the Milwaukee Wave Soccer Game. The games are played at the U.S. Cellular

Arena at 400 West Kilbourn Ave Downtown Milwaukee.

The game starts at 2:00pm.

So if want to see a great game and a great chorus perform please come down

and see us!!

Audition for our 2008 Spring Season

Its that time when our Chorus is looking for new voices for the 2008 Spring Season.

Here are more details.........

Our Christmas Season

As our 2007 Christmas Season has ended for the chorus. We would like to thank Everyone that came to our performances. It's amazing to have such a wonderful audience and the support of family, friends and our extended friends, our audience! We have the Best audience a chorus could ever ask for! The performances we had at our church were sold out for both days, even with the snow filled weather!

We hope that we will see you in 2008 for our Spring Performances. I will be listing information when our rehearsals will be starting. We are looking for people to join the chorus. If you need information about auditions and how the chorus works behind the scenes, please email the chorus. In a couple weeks I will be posting pictures from our performances this year so check back often!

Our performance schedule includes 7-9 concerts per season.

We have also performed for the Milwaukee Wave and we are always working on other

performance opportunities.

For our Christmas Season we are working on the finale dates so keep a watchful eye

for the concert dates!

The first rehearsal was on September 11th 2007

Our rehearsal information is as follows:

It is every Tuesday evening from 7:30pm-9:30pm

The location is at the Emanuel Church in Hales Corners

10627 W. Forest Home Ave.

We do ask that if you would like to join please join no later than October 2nd this will be our fourth rehearsal for the Christmas season and new members will not be accepted due to the limited amount of time to learn the music for our performances. However you are more than welcome to see us perform and always join our 2008 Spring Season!

The history of our Chorus

Welcome to the Community Chorus website!

Here is a some backround history of our 27yrs old chorus...

The community chorus was founded in 1980 as an avenue for area singers to come together to share their gifts of music with the neighboring communities.

At the time it was founded, a large percentage of the chorus members were also members of the Emanuel Church, Hales Corners, and requested the use of its fellowship hall and sanctuary for rehearsal space and public concerts. A long and satisfying relationship was formed which still exists today!

The Community Chorus is a mixed chorus of 60-70 men and women who sing four part harmony. We feature individial talent through solo work, ensembles, etc. We are a dedicated group of adults who give a commitment of time and talent to the chorus and the community at large through public appearances and community service sing-outs. The ages of our members varies and we welcome anyone who enjoys singing and creating new friendships and of course performing wonderful music.
